Dland w/autistic son. Understand DAS, but need a way to ease the wait time for the parades/fireworks. Guest Services first suggested we FastPass them up to 30 days in advance but I can't figure how. Now GS says DLand doesn't do FP's at all?!

    Hi, Sara!

I’m glad to hear your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is almost here. I think you’ll be relieved to know there are services and strategies available to help Guests with disabilities have a magical experience with their families!

The Disability Access Service (DAS) system is designed to accommodate Guests who aren’t able to wait in a conventional queue due to a disability (including autism) by allowing them to receive a return time for attractions based on the current wait time. The DAS system is not currently available for shows or parades. However, along with DAS, you are welcome to use Disney FASTPASS to further maximize your time. All FASTPASS selections are made on the same day you visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks. To get a FASTPASS, visit the distribution area for an attraction. Insert your park ticket into the FASTPASS machine to obtain a return time. If you purchase Disney MaxPass, FASTPASS selections can be made from your mobile device! Not all attractions and shows offer FASTPASS, but a list of those that do is on disneyland.com and in the park guide maps. Fantasmic! is an example of a show that offers FASTPASS service. For other entertainment, like Pixar Play Parade and Paint the Night, you can take advantage of a dining package that includes reserved viewing or simply wait in a general area. If your son has difficulty waiting with you, I suggest saving a spot with a small blanket or backpack while another adult explores the park with him. That way he won’t have to remain in the same spot for quite as long.

If your son becomes over-stimulated or needs some down time, several quieter locations are available throughout the resort where he can regroup. To find the break area nearest you, ask a Cast Member. I hope this helps, Sara. Please send more questions as your planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
