Greetings Jeannette! Thank you for taking the time to stop by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Having rain in the forecast during your family vacation may cause you to worry, but don't let it scare you away! Shorter lines and smaller crowds are some of my family's favorite reasons we welcome a little rain during our Disneyland Resort trip!
There are many ways to stay warm and cozy when skies are gray and rain is on its way. When our kids were babies, I preferred having them in a baby carrier versus the stroller to keep them bundled up. I would recommend rain jackets or breathable ponchos. It is also a good idea to pack a folding umbrella as well. Shoe choices are also important as there is a lot of walking at the park. To keep your feet dry, choose water-resistant shoes (or spray some water repellent).
As for attractions, some of the outdoor rides may be closed temporarily when the rain is heavy. Otherwise, there are many rides that are indoors, especially in
Fantasyland.
Peter Pan's Flight,
Snow White's Scary Adventures, and
Pinocchio's Daring Journey are some of my family's favorites; their indoor queues will also shelter you from the rain.
There are also plenty of shops and restaurants along Main Street that can shelter you from the rain. My personal favorite is picking up warm Starbucks drinks at the
Market House, then sitting back and relaxing.
If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to swing by the Panel. Have a magical day!
