Hi there, Jillian! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
Halloween Time is a ghoulishly fun time to visit the Disneyland Resort! Even if you don’t plan on participating in Mickey’s Halloween Party, you will still get to enjoy the fall décor, Halloween overlays on attractions in both parks, and all the special seasonal treats that can be found. While trick-or-treating isn’t available at the Disneyland Resort outside of Mickey’s Halloween Party, there are still some sweet ways to celebrate the day. The first thing you might look into is a Halloween-themed gift basket from
Disney Floral and Gifts that can be delivered to your hotel. There are a few items specific to the holiday like Nightmare Before Christmas and Haunted Mansion gifts, or you can customize your own gift basket to suit your kids’ tastes.
You could also visit some of the sweet shops in Disney California Adventure Park or the Downtown Disney District on Halloween night. Marceline’s Confectionary is a favorite of my family’s and they are sure to have some Halloween-inspired goodies in-stock. Trolley Treats also always carries a large variety of sweets and baked goods that I’m sure your children will love.
You will also want to follow the
Disney Parks Blog to see what new things are in store for Halloween Time this year. There are usually new, specially-created items offered every year and they might even announce some fun things to experience outside of the parks on Halloween.
I hope this helps! Please return if you have any other questions about your upcoming trip!
