Hi there, Sheila! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Hooray! I am so excited that you will be experiencing
Mickey’s Halloween Party this week! The
Frightfully Fun Parade and Halloween Screams fireworks are definitely the highlights of the party and you’ll want to scope out your spots early for the best viewing. Ideally, it’s best to grab a spot along Main Street, U.S.A. near the hub area (near the Sleeping Beauty Castle) as this will provide you with a prime spot for the parade and then you can stay put for an excellent view of the fireworks. However, these spots fill up fast and early in the night. I would suggest arriving 45 minutes to an hour early to claim your spot here.
If you don’t want to arrive quite that early to view the parade, try grabbing a spot near “it’s a small world.” This is actually where the parade starts, but since it’s outside of the main path through the park, it tends to be slightly less busy. There are also a few elevated portions of the walkway in this area that make for great spots to view the parade. You can also see the fireworks from this area, but they will be at a slightly different angle than if you were in front of the castle.
Keep in mind that with your Mickey’s Halloween Party ticket, you can enter both parks three hours before the official start of the party. So definitely plan to start the fun early and you might even want to venture back to Mickey’s Toontown when you arrive early as there is usually a pre-party there an hour or two before the party starts.
I hope this helps. Have a fabulous time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
