Hi, in DL/ DCA I did ADR for Ariels Grotto. But for all other dining, we never had to do an ADR. If we go to WDW (during off season like mid-January), do I need to make ADR for all restaurants, or just character dining? I prefer not to do ADRs.

    Hi Lisa!

I would strongly recommend making Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) for any of the restaurants in Walt Disney World even during typically slow times of year like the middle of January because if you make an Advanced Dining Reservation you will be sure that you can dine in the restaurant that you want at the time you select.  If you don't have an ADR, then you are not guaranteed a spot in the restaurant and you may be disappointed when Cast Members tell you that the restaurant is all booked for that day and they are not taking any walk-up reservations.  Walt Disney World is very different than Disneyland as far as dining reservations are concerned. Often for Walt Disney World guests have to make Advanced Dining Reservations 180 days in advance of their vacation to get reservations at some of the most popular Walt Disney World restaurants (like Cinderella's Royal Table, Be Our Guest Restaurant for dinner, Chef Mickey's and Le Cellier to name a few).  It really pays to do a little planning before your Walt Disney World vacation and it is really easy to make Advanced Dining Reservations.  You can make Advanced Dining Reservations by calling (407)-WDW-DINE (1-407-939-3463) or make them online at www.mydisneyexperience.com

I truly hope that all of your meals are magical on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
