Will be at DL for 1.5 days in about 2 weeks and want to see the best of both parks. Any advice for a family of 4 (kids 4 and 8) for our first trip to DL? Thanks so much! Husband doesn't want to 'waste' time with stuff that's the 'same' as WDW. Thanks!

    Hi there Susan,

As a WDW veteran myself, I am happy and excited to help you plan your very first trip to Disneyland You've picked the PERFECT time to visit because now, there is more to see and do at Disneyland Resort than EVER before!

While you'll definitely want to devote most of your time to experiencing the Disneyland-exclusive attractions, I really want to encourage you to refrain from skipping an attraction just because you have already experienced it at WDW.  Many of the "overlap" attractions at DL are extremely unique and some even argue that the Disneyland versions are better.

I have taken the liberty of listing my favorite Disneyland-exclusive attractions below!  These are the ones you won't wanna miss:

    Disneyland Park

    (Not at WDW)
    -Mr. Toad's Wild Ride
    -Matterhorn Bobsleds
    -Indiana Jones Adventure
    -Mickey's Soundsational Parade

    (At WDW but different)
    -Pirates of the Caribbean
    -Haunted Mansion
    -it's a small world
    -Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    -Fantasmic!

    California Adventure

    (Not at WDW)
    -All of Cars Land
    -California Screamin'
    -Goofy's Sky School
    -Ariel's UnderSea Adventure
    -Red Car Trolley
    -Grizzly River Rapids
    -World of Color

    (At WDW but Different)
    -Tower of Terror

** I recently answered a question here on the panel about overlapping attractions at Disneyland and Walt DIsney World!  Please click the link to view my response and be sure to write back if I can be of further assistance in the planning of this magical West Coast Disney Adventure!
