Is the DJI OM5 permitted? It’s a gimbal, which are apparently okay, but it extends like a selfie stick, which are prohibited.

    Hello Samantha,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! It sounds like you are an avid photographer, videographer, or maybe just a lover of tech gadgets. In any case, the DJI OM5 looks like a fun tool to have for taking some great photos.

Having said that, I would recommend leaving it at home for this trip. Yes, gimbals are allowed. I've seen many brought into the parks and used regularly. However, because yours has the ability to extend like a selfie-stick, I believe it falls under the category of prohibited items

You'll still be able to get some amazing photos by taking advantage of Disney's PhotoPass Service. There are hundreds of photographers stationed throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort ready to capture your magical memories, including special digital enhancements that add some fun surprises to your vacation photos.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
