What is the distance in walking time between boardwalk and yacht club, then boardwalk to Epcot of boardwalk to Hollywood? Is the yacht club or boardwalk closer to either of these parks?

Hi there, Marie! Welcome back to planDisney!

At 40 square miles, Walt Disney World is big. To put it in perspective, 40 square miles means Walt Disney World is larger than the island of Manhattan or the city of Miami. It’s not uncommon for even experienced explorers to need assistance in getting from point A to point B.

Before we jump into your question, make sure that you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded to your mobile device before your next trip. The app can help you make reservations and manage your passes, but it can also help you navigate Walt Disney World, giving you step-by-step directions with estimated travel times. I use it every time I visit.

It’s important to remember that estimated travel times will vary depending on the date and time, and estimated walking times will vary from person to person. That being said, here are the estimated walking times you’re looking for from the My Disney Experience app at the time I'm writing this.

    - BoardWalk Inn to Yacht Club Resort: 11 minutes
    - BoardWalk Inn to EPCOT’s International Gateway: 10 minutes
    - Yacht Club Resort to EPCOT’s International Gateway: 9 minutes
    - Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios: 18 minutes
    - Yacht Club Resort to Hollywood Studios: 25 minutes

As you can see, Yacht Club Resort is a teeny tiny bit closer to EPCOT based on walking time, and BoardWalk Inn is closer to Hollywood Studios. Based on my experience, I think your room location at either hotel will have a bigger impact on your walking time to the theme parks, but it’s so close that I don’t think you can go wrong choosing either of these hotels.

Marie, I hope this information is helpful to your holiday planning and that you have a wonderful time visiting Walt Disney World. Don’t hesitate to come back to planDisney if you have more questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
