    What is the distance between MK and DTD? WHAT is the best way to get there? Thanks!

    Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel.  I love Disney transportation questions!

    There are a number of different ways you can get from the Magic Kingdom to Downtown Disney.  My favorite path would be to take the resort monorail to Disney's Contemporary Resort and then board a Downtown Disney-bound bus at the front of this resort.  

    Although it's not a terribly long drive from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Downtown Disney (perhaps twenty minutes), I always recommend that you leave yourself one hour to get from place to place on Disney property, especially if you are using complimentary Disney transportation.  Take your time and enjoy the ride!
