We are going to DisneyWorld Sept. 11-14 and staying on property. Our daughter is turning 5. Cannot decide whether to go to Animal Kingdom on Hollywood Studios with her. Any advice for what a 5 year old would enjoy more.

    Howdy Susan!

Disney's Hollywood Studios offers many great attractions and shows.
    • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure gives kids the opportunity to climb, crawl and explore a bug-sized world.
    • On Toy Story Midway Mania! is a must do!
    • Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage is a fantastic 25 minute Broadway-style musical.  Your daughter will love the ball gowns!
    • Disney Junior - Live on Stage! is an enchanting 24 minute show featuring puppets with some of her favorite Disney Junior Friends including Doc McStuffins and Sofia the First.
    • Voyage of The Little Mermaid takes you on an under sea adventure with Ariel.

If your daughter likes animals, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is the perfect choice!
    • She will be able to pet a furry friend at Affection Section.
    • The Boneyard is an open-air play space designed to look like a dinosaur dig site.
    • Conservation Station is a wildlife conservation center home to animal encounters, interactive exhibits and a veterinary facility.  This has become a must do for my inquisitive 6 year old daughter while at Animal Kingdom.
    • Kids can discover nature’s wonders at the Kids Discovery Club.  These fun, hands-on learning stations located throughout the park.  Note:  they will give you a card to stamp at various locations throughout the day.  It will take some time to get to each one.  We started our card late in the day and had to leave because of a dining reservation.  This was devastating to our daughter who wanted to stay and get all of her stamps.

Regardless of which park you choose, I know you will have a magical time.   There is so much to do at both parks but I hope this will give you a bit of insight when deciding which your daughter will enjoy more.
