Going to disneyworld sept or oct 2011. are there any weeks i should avoid do to crowds or special events ?

    Hi Daniel!

Let's take a look at dates to avoid so that you can pinpoint your travel itinerary and really shout "I'm going to Walt Disney World"!

For September 2011, I would avoid the Labor Day weekend. September is a wonderful time to visit if your aim is to avoid crowds. Of course, you'll still have the heat of summer to contend with and possible rainy weather. Orlando receives twice as much rain in September than it does typically in October.

In October, avoid the Columbus Day holiday weekend. Epcot's Food and Wine Festival begins at the end of September but if you avoid Epcot on the weekend, you can steer away from the crowds that are there to eat and sip their way around the Festival. Just head to Epcot and the Festival during the week!

My family has opted to visit WDW this year in October. I think it's a good choice with lower crowds, less rain, lower temperatures and the option to attend Epcot's Food and Wine Festival and/or Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Maybe it'll work well for your family too!
