Which disneyworld resort has the best Christmas decorations

Greetings Larry and welcome to planDisney!

I know that we are just getting started with summer, but looking forward to the Christmas season at Walt Disney World always gives me a big smile!

Your question can be answered like one of those multiple-choice answers that we had in grade school, “all of the above”!  You would get a different answer from every single one of us here at planDisney and all the answers would be correct!

I’m going to choose my favorite based on the family Christmas picture that hangs on the wall of my living room!  It was taken on our last family trip during the holidays in front of the 60-foot tree that majestically stands in the lobby of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!  I love the rustic feel of the decorations, the roaring fireplaces, the relaxing Christmas music that fills the air, and the little nooks and crannies upstairs where you can find peace and quiet to enjoy the season!

I’ll stick to the Disney Monorail Resorts for my second choice, which is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The elegance of the classic lobby decorations, the massive Christmas tree, the possibility of seeing the life-sized gingerbread house, and the sounds of the carols ringing through the air make the Grand Floridian a must stop during the holiday season!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has that tropical Christmas feel, and I really do enjoy the flowers and sounds of the tropical Christmas! Plus, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas when you can sit with a Dole Whip listening to Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters sing Mele Kalikimaka on the sound system in the Polynesian lobby!

My final recommendation is going to take us down on the bayou! One of the hidden gems at Walt Disney World is Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter! The lobby and grounds are always so warm and welcoming during the holidays.  A walk along the Sassagoula river is spectacular during the holidays! And don’t forget to grab a couple of Mickey shaped beignets from Scat Cat’s Club Cafe! Plus, the sister resort of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-Riverside is just around the bend, and you can get a double dose of holiday spirit from New Orleans!

Larry, there are so many choices and all of them are good ones! Merry Christmas to you on this summer day in June and when you do arrive on your magical adventure in December, make sure you enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
