We are going to DisneyWorld. We plan to stay on site and bundle hotel+tickets. My sister would like to come but can only go to the parks one day. Can I add her to the hotel reservation separately so as not to buy extra tickets she can't use?

    Welcome to planDisney, Kate!

It’s so nice to have you and even better to hear about your upcoming visit. Your sister reminds me of mine. Anytime I have a visit planned, she manages to find a way to join us. It’s been a family joke that she crashes our trips and no longer needs an invite. And this joke has become a reality, as now she is a Florida resident and really does come and go whenever we are there. Most recently, we added her as a day guest so that she could watch our little ones while my husband and I went on a Disney date. So, in the long run, it’s been great having her join us anytime she can.

If you are booked as a vacation package, with theme park tickets and a room reservation, then everyone on the reservation will be included in that package. For example, if you have a four-night stay with three-day theme park tickets, then your sister will also have to have the same entitlements. If you want to include her for just one day, your best bet would be to book your resort reservation and purchase your theme park tickets separately and not as a vacation package. I recommend checking out the current Special Deals and Discounts page.  There's currently a  room-only savings that may work out for this visit.

Knowing my sister, and if she weren’t local, I know she would do everything in her power to stay the entire time. Actually, even with her being a local, she’s totally crashing our upcoming visit by meeting us in the theme parks every day! So she makes it easier for us to include her in the whole package.  If your sister can’t be there the entire time, then booking your room and purchasing your tickets separately is going to be the best option.

Kate, I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any others, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Happy planning and see ya real soon,

    Shantel
