Hello. We are going to DisneyWorld in November with our two children. We wanted to see the Very Merry Christmas Party but with our budget it may be tight. Is there any point where the Castle is lit up with the lights or can you only see it at the show?

    Hi Steven.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question.

Congratulations on your plans to visit Walt Disney World this coming November. It's a great time of year to visit since the parks and resorts will be decked out in all their holiday splendor!

Cinderella Castle begins having her 'Dream Lights' applied months before the Christmas season as they take quite some time to put up. Once Halloween has come and gone and the lighting is complete, she begins to sparkle every night in her holiday best, generally beginning November 1st! Regardless of whether you choose to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I can assure you that you will indeed get to view Cinderella Castle shimmering in a way you've never seen it before! It's such a beautiful sight to see and worthy of so many photo opportunities as the night progresses! Watch carefully prior to Wishes and as the evening comes to a close to see her change colours as she glows under the night sky.

If you have additional questions about your trip, please don't hesitate to write me back Steven. I'd love to hear from you again soon!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
