Does Disneyworld have Mouseboats to rent? My hubby and me rented them in the 90s before we had kids. Now we have kids ages 7 and 5 and would like the fun experience.--THANKS! <3

Hi Catherine!  I am not sure I have heard them called the "mouse boats" but I love that name!  After all Mickey is in charge of everything at Walt Disney World including the great recreation opportunities!

Disney resorts still have the small two passenger boats for rent called Sea Raycers. They have undergone changes over the years but there are these small boats still waiting for guests to come and enjoy them at most resort having marinas.

The cost for the boats is $32 for 30 minutes, $40 for 45 minutes, and $45 for 60 minutes. I have found that the 30 minute time is fine and never have stayed out for the full 60 minutes. The capacity for each boat is 2 persons and the weight limit is 320 for the boat.  You must be 12 to drive a boat and at least five feet tall. All drivers between the ages of 12 and 17 must have a parent with them to sign the releases.  Drivers 18 and older must have valid ID and to rent you must present a drivers license or resort key card. Life jackets are provided.

Have a great time....and be careful of the waves!  The last time I ventured out I hit a "small" wave that went completely over the boat and gave me a nice impromptu shower. Laughed the whole way back to the marina as I am sure I looked like the wet rat!
