Hello, Leta,
Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and I'd also like to say thank you to your son for his service. When visiting the theme parks, there are some attractions that are more quiet and calm that could be an option for your son. In fact, they are ones where you may find a few guests taking a nap!
Magic Kingdom: The Hall of Presidents, Country Bear Jamboree, Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover, Tom Sawyer Island
Epcot: Ellen's Energy Adventure, The American Adventure
Disney's Hollywood Studios: The Great Movie Ride, Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Disney's Animal Kingdom: Flights of Wonder, Finding Nemo--The Musical
However, these are still attractions with sounds and movement. If he'd like fewer distractions, all the theme parks have nearby resorts with multiple quiet areas around the lobbies (just ask a cast member for his/her suggestions). There are also often benches and chairs located outside of the resorts that can be equally quiet and calm.
Finally, if the need for a quiet spot comes on quickly for him, he can certainly stop by any of the
First Aid centers at the theme parks and alert the cast member there about his need for some calmness away from the crowds.
Wishing you a magical trip! If we can help with any further questions, please let us know. -
Kara
