Will Disneyworld have a Halloween event this year ?

Boo to you, Edgar! Thanks for bringing your spook-tacular question to planDisney!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of year to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth! Unfortunately, Walt Disney World Resort has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. According to this page, many of the hallmarks we’ve come to know and love from this thrilling special event (such as stage shows, parades, and fireworks) simply can’t take place in this new, unprecedented environment. If you’ve already purchased tickets for this event, the Walt Disney World Resort will be reaching out to you to assist with a refund. However, I do still have some good news to share, Edgar! I checked with a Cast Member, and was told that the theme parks will still be decorating for Halloween this year! So, even if we won’t be able to enjoy the mischievous mayhem of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, we can still get a taste of some frightful fun!

In addition, look out for this wickedly fun new Halloween merchandise, available now on shopDisney.com, at Disney Springs, and at Walt Disney World Resort. Check out the Halloween Shop online to stock up on your favorite finds now! This Walt Disney World Halloween Spirit Jersey is one of my picks!

To help you and your family get in the mood for Halloween at home, you won’t want to miss these dreadfully-delightful recipes. Those Pumpkin Bars are calling my name!

Wishing you many happy haunts this Halloween, Edgar!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
