DisneyWorld in February. I impulsively booked French Quarter. I am worried that I have made the wrong decision. We are really on a budget so I don't want to pay to upgrade rooms. (booking moderate for meals) Is there one that is better for kids (8 &

    Hi Rebecca!

Port Orleans French Quarter is a favorite of many guests!  However, I think the best Moderate is Port Orleans Riverside.  I also think children prefer Port Orleans Riverside, because the pool at Riverside is better than the pool at French Quarter, especially the water slide.  However, as a quest of French Quarter, you can use all of the services and amenities at Riverside as well.  It's a relatively long walk between the resorts (about 15 minutes if you walk fast), but there is also a boat connecting the two.

The other Moderate Resorts are too large in my opinion; they all have an internal bus service.  Thus I think Port Orleans Riverside is best, followed closely by French Quarter.  If you want to save more money, you could look at a Value Resort.  I'm a big fan of Disney's Pop Century Resort.  It has the best food court on property and it doesn't share any buses with any other resort; it also has only one bus stop at the resort.

Good luck with your decision and write back if you have any more questions!
