    Hi Joanne!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel.

The first step is determining when you would like to go and where you would like to stay.  After that, it will slow fall into place.  A lot of guests love to do a lot of planning, but you can have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World even with little to no planning!  After all, it is the crown jewel of the theme park industry and it is not as complicated as visiting a major city like San Francisco or New York!

I suggest picking up the tour book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for first time visitors as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good idea of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

You might also want to work with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner.  He or she is a travel agent that specializes in trips to Walt Disney World, to Disneyland, onboard the Disney Cruise Line, or with Adventures by Disney.  Most Authorized Disney Vacation Planners provide their services to guests free of charge.  My own planner has saved me and my family a lot of money over the years.  I consider her a friend now.

Our responses are limited in length, but I hope this gets you started.  Please write back with more questions!
