Do you have to use Disney's wifi in order to use the My Disney Experience app in the parks

    Hi Ryan!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question! When I was a tiny Mouseketeer, my dad would type each day's schedule for each upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation into an Excel spreadsheet and print the entire spreadsheet before our vacation. I vividly remember folding the printed plans up, packing them (and a pink highlighter) into my fanny pack before each family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! With the My Disney Experience mobile app, our plans and so much more are easily accessible in the palms of our hands!

Ryan, you do not need to use the complimentary WiFi provided throughout Walt Disney World Resort in order to utilize the My Disney Experience mobile app within the theme parks. If you prefer to use your own mobile data plan instead, the My Disney Experience mobile app will still work. We are actually visiting Mickey at Walt Disney World Resort right now, and disabled WiFi to test out the app using our mobile data plan; it worked!

I'm wishing you a magical upcoming Disney vacation! If you can think of any other questions before your upcoming trip, please don't hesitate to visit us again!
