Welcome to planDisney, James! Travel day might be my favorite day of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation because I know that all of the magic for the week lays ahead of me. That day is made so much easier by
Disney's Magical Express, the complimentary airport transfer service for Guests, so let's jump right in and chat about how you can reserve your place.
James, if you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel your transportation to and from the airport is included in your vacation package. Once you have your flight information, you can call the number on the webpage for Disney's Magical Express and a Cast Member will set you up with a reservation based on your arrival and departure times. When you land in Orlando, you'll pick up your bags at the luggage carousel and bring them to the loading area for Disney's Magical Express, which is on Level 1 of Terminal B at Orlando International Airport. You and your bags will travel to your
Resort Hotel, where you can bring your luggage directly to your room or leave it with Bell Services if you have plans for the day and your room isn't quite ready yet. On the morning of your last full day, you'll receive an envelope on your door that contains your departure information for Disney's Magical Express the next day, so make sure you're ready in the loading area before the time listed so that you can arrive at the airport in time for your flight.
If you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, there are plenty of transfer options that you can arrange independently. All of the major rideshare services that you use at home can also be used in Orlando, and you can also pick up a taxi in the ground transportation area! It's about a 30 to 60-minute ride from the airport to the Most Magical Place On Earth, so be sure to account for that travel time when you're planning out your day.
I hope this answers your question, James, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
