Welcome Home, Ed! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. I'm so glad to hear that you'll be celebrating America on the 4th of July at
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort, and I'll be happy to share some tips for enjoying the holiday to the fullest. Grab your red, white, and blue, and let's dive right in!
Hilton Head is such a special spot - it's a relaxing beach setting that is ideal for a summer vacation. This
Disney Vacation Club resort always reminds me of something out of a classic movie with its elegant design and picturesque views! Guests at Hilton Head can enjoy the great
pools, rent
bikes to explore the area, or check out the
guided nature walks or the fantastic
Dolphin Eco Cruise! This is also a popular destination for golfers, and you will have access to lots of courses in the area.
There are typically all sorts of 4th of July activities throughout the week leading up to the holiday, including seasonal games, crafts, and Character interactions. The specifics for this year's events likely won't be released until early June, so I recommend checking directly with the resort closer to your arrival.
As for fireworks, you are in luck! While the DVC resort does not have its own fireworks display, Guests at the resort have a front-row seat for the nearby Shelter Cove Harbourfest fireworks show. They are launched from a barge on the water that's really close to the resort, so you will have a good view from pretty much anywhere! I recommend loading up on snacks and trying to snag a spot close to the water - there's an area with some chairs that would be a great location for fireworks viewing.
Ed, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes! If you have any additional questions about your Hilton Head stay or other DVC adventures, please don't hesitate to reach out again.
Welcome Home!
Susan
