Hiya Kaitlin - welcome to
planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with your question for our family of planDisney panelists. We love to help Guests just like you plan magical Walt Disney World Resort vacations! If you want to keep tabs on what we're up to when we're not answering Guest questions, be sure to check out
our new planDisney podcast. There are new episodes every month, and some extra special episodes drop from time to time too!
I absolutely love the outdoor
recreation activities available at many
Disney Resorts Collection hotels at Walt Disney World Resort! There's so much to do, but you've asked about some of my favorites.
Movies Under the Stars, available at participating Resorts, let's you enjoy your favorite Disney films, both new and old, on the big screen right outside your Resort! Throw in a
campfire with s'mores and you've got a great way to wind down a busy day at the Theme Parks.
Each Resort has its own schedule, but campfires and s'mores (when available) typically start at 6:15 p.m., and Movies Under the Stars typically start at 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday evenings at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (subject to availability due to weather and other factors). The schedule does change from time to time, so I encourage you to ask for a schedule at the Front Desk upon your arrival if you don't see the recreation offerings posted in the Lobby.
I would recommend making an earlier dinner reservation if you'd like a campfire s'mores dessert, or you can try and squeeze dinner in between s'mores and the movie if you're dining close by! If the campfire and movie schedules don't work well with any advance dining reservations you've made, you can always try to modify the reservations to make things line up a bit better!
I hope this information is helpful as you continue planning for your trip later this year.
Please let me know if I can help answer any other questions!
