how do I use Disney's genie?

Hello, Robert, your wish is my command! Your magic carpet will be whisking you to Walt Disney World Resort soon, so let’s look at how everyone’s favorite big blue pal can help. When it comes to maneuvering your busy theme park day, you ain’t never had a friend like Genie!

I think you're planning to use Disney Genie service, a complimentary planning tool in your My Disney Experience mobile app. Based on your must-do list and preferred activities, Disney Genie will help guide your day.

To get started, open your mobile app and tap the home icon at the bottom left. You should see a greeting with your name at the top. Scroll down a bit to the blue banner labeled “Disney Genie Service.”

Tap the “Summon Disney Genie” and hang on! You may not see a puff of smoke, but the magic is getting ready to begin.

You’ll select the date from the displayed calendar and then the theme park you plan to visit. Tap “Continue” to select any Friends & Family who will be joining you.

Next, you’ll choose favorite experiences, attractions, dining, and more. Once you’ve made all your selections, click “View My Plans” to see how Disney Genie organizes your day into an exciting suggested itinerary.

Keep in mind that some of the features work best closer to your visit and even after you’ve scanned in at the theme park. Since Disney Genie bases its suggestions on predicted wait times, the service will be more accurate as your trip approaches.

Since you sound like a fellow planner, I want to mention Lightning Lane passes. This paid service lets you book return times for your favorite attractions. Guests staying at Disney Resort Hotels can purchase and select rides 7 days before they check in, while other guests can do so at the 3-day mark.

Robert, thanks again for dropping by planDisney. To paraphrase Genie himself, if you have a question (or two or three!), please come back anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
