At Disney's art of animation resort how far away from transportation is the family suites?

Hello Daryl!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

When my family took our first Walt Disney World Resort vacation together, we stayed in The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  About 4 days into our trip, my son developed a hacking cough that was keeping him (and the rest of us) up at night.  We decided to switch to a 1-Bedroom Family Suite in The Lion King Section to take advantage of the separate sleeping areas and couldn't have been happier with our decision.

A serendipitous benefit to our room-swap was the closer proximity to the bus depot at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.  The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms are a considerable distance from the Depot while The Lion King Suites and the Finding Nemo Suites are closes to the Main Hall and Bus Depot areas.  Some of the Cars Family Suites are a little bit further away, but definitely closer than The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms.

When you Check-in Online using your My Disney Experience Account up to 60 days in advance, you may request certain options for your room selection.  When you Check-in Online, be sure to request that your room be "Near Transportation".

When you check-in upon arrival, be sure to inquire about the Learn-to-Draw Animation sessions.  They are a wonderful experience that provide a special keepsake of your time spent at Disney's Art of Animation Resort.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
