When going to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park on the weekend which day is better Saturday or Sunday

    Hi Toni Ann,

Welcome to planDisney! I am delighted to hear that you are going to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. I wish I had a definitive answer for you!

We have visited Animal Kingdom on both days and had a wonderful time either day. Holidays can impact plans but looking at your arrival date, I think you will be able to manage with the crowd levels. Your date is also before most school districts get out for summer break. When I checked prices for standard 1-park per day theme park tickets, the current price of tickets for Animal Kingdom was the same for that Saturday and Sunday, April 27th and April 28th.

I would also check the theme park hours for that Saturday and Sunday. So far, the park hours, including early theme park entry for select guests, are the same. So, the decision may come down to other factors. If you plan to make advanced dining reservations at the park and have not yet done so, check availability. That may help you make a decision. My family loves to have breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant and lunch at Yak & Yeti™ Restaurant. Availability can be limited, so I always make a dining reservation.

Toni Ann, Animal Kingdom is such an expansive park with so much to see and do. We have never felt crowded there although there have been times when it has certainly been busy. Be sure to use the My Disney Experience Mobile App when in the park. It always helps us track our plans!

    Magic and memories,
    Donyell
