Hi there, Jody, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's almost time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth!
Unlike Walt Disney World Resort,
Disneyland Resort doesn’t use
MagicBands. However, one of the most helpful tools at the Disneyland Resort is the
Disneyland App, which allows Guests to check wait times, find their favorite Characters, make dining reservations, and mobile order food and drinks ahead of time! The app is also required to use
Disney MaxPass, which I highly recommend adding to your ticket. MaxPass allows you to make
Disney FASTPASS Service selections directly from your phone, as soon as you enter either theme park. Otherwise, you’ll still be able to obtain FASTPASS reservations, but will have to walk up to each FASTPASS distribution point to obtain them.
MaxPass also includes unlimited downloads of your
Disney PhotoPass digital photos for the day, which is a great way to preserve all the special memories you’ll be making. Disney PhotoPass Photographers do an amazing job of capturing the magic, and making sure everyone is included in your pictures!
Have you made
dining reservations yet? If not, I’d recommend making some online, or by calling (714) 781-DINE or (714) 781-3463. With the opening of
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 31, 2019, larger crowds are expected, so it wouldn’t hurt to have a few reservations already set before your arrival. I recently dined with a friend at
Wine Country Trattoria in Disney California Adventure Park, and it was delicious!
Here’s the
Entertainment Schedule for your date of arrival, so you can start planning your Disney day! The Disneyland Forever fireworks spectacular
will have just returned to Disneyland Park, so you’re in for a real treat!
See ya’ real soon!
