Hello again, Helen, and welcome back to planDisney! You've come to the right place to discuss magical entertainment at the Happiest Place on Earth! It's one of my very favorite topics to chat about.
Let's dig into your question. Calendar dates for dining reservations are released farther out than the entertainment schedule and the dining reservation calendar for packages and dessert parties will usually have dates blocked out if there will not be a show that particular day. At the time of this writing, it's too early to know if
World of Color: Happiness will be showing on the date of your visit as the
Daily Events Schedule is released about six weeks out. It is good to know, however, that schedules are always subject to change, as magic would have it!
If I were you, Helen, I would continue to do exactly what you are doing and keep checking
the Disneyland website for
World of Color Dessert Party availability. With a little faith and pixie dust, a special booking may open up, just for you!
Just in case the dessert party doesn't work out, for whatever reason, Helen, you might want to consider a free World of Color viewing spot by joining the
virtual queue on the
Disneyland app at 12pm the day you're in California Adventure. (I always set a reminder on my phone, so I don't forget, as I'm usually quite distracted chasing Jack Jack around on the Incredicoaster.) Then, make sure you're settled in your viewing spot a few minutes before show time, so you don't miss the unbelievably delightful Muppets Pre-Show. Disneyland isn't the only one
celebrating 70 years - so are our beloved Muppets! This quick "safety announcement" might be one of my very favorite entertainment offerings at Disneyland Resort right now - wocka wocka!
I hope this information has been helpful to you, Helen! If any other planning questions come up as you're preparing for your upcoming visit, you know where to find us!
Magic awaits,
McCayla
