Hello, Denisse,
I understand how frustrating this situation must be for you. A friend of mine also had similar difficulty with purchasing Disney Parks tickets online. She did eventually get things worked out and was able to purchase her tickets. Hopefully, we’ll be able to come up with some approaches that may help your situation as well.
I’m going to start by recommending my preferred solution for purchasing Disneyland Resort
theme park tickets. That is, you may purchase a
Disney Gift Card and then use that card to purchase your tickets
online or in the
Disneyland mobile app. If the purchase amount is larger than the amount on a single gift card, multiple gift cards may be combined on the “
My Cards” page of the
Disney Gift Card website. If purchasing multiple tickets, it’s also OK to break those up into more than one transaction. All of the tickets will still be linked to the same account. I like using Disney Gift Cards to purchase my tickets because I can usually find gift cards at a discounted price at select warehouse clubs or with store credit cards or rewards programs from certain retail stores, like
Target.
Other possible solutions that I would recommend involve typical troubleshooting that we might do with common technical issues. That might be things like trying different devices, using different web browsers, logging out and logging back in, deleting and reinstalling the mobile app, resetting devices, clearing website data from the browser, and other similar attempts to work around the technical hang-ups that come up from time to time. As an engineer, I know how discouraging it can be when we come across these types of issues. So it’s understandably not very fun to jump through unexpected hoops. Fortunately, I’m confident that a team of developers is aware of the issue and is working diligently to sort through the myriad of complex systems operating in the background to resolve the issue.
Tony’s Tip: If you choose to use a Disney Gift Card to purchase tickets and have funds left over on your gift card, I recommend storing the gift card number in a note on your mobile phone. When you use the
Disneyland mobile app to place a
mobile food and beverage order or for
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, you can copy your gift card number from the note and paste it into the app.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Denisse!
