I have a Disneyland trip in early May that unexpectedly turned into a solo trip. I’m doing at least one day with Genie+ and am wondering if photo pass photographers will do pictures for an older single adult. Any other tips for a solo traveler?

Angel, welcome to planDisney, and greetings from The Happiest Place on Earth!

As Walt Disney said, during the dedication of the Disneyland Resort back in 1955, “To all who come to this happy place: Welcome.” And, Angel, this includes you. I would love to visit the Disneyland Resort all on my own, to putter about and bask in all the scenery, to indulge my every whim and curiosity, to enjoy the surroundings, and do just as I wish.

Angel, it’s wise to try the Disney Genie+ service to see how you like it. Make sure your Disneyland Mobile App notifications and your location setting are on, and when you enter your reserved theme park, summon the Disney Genie with all your preferred attractions, any dining and entertainment and it’ll present you with continuous updates from which you can make your selections.

At Disneyland Park, if I was in your shoes, and comfy ones too, I would splurge on a Disneyland Resort VIP Tour - oh that would be so nice! Or, I’d sign up for a “Walk in Walt’s Disneyland Footsteps” Guided Tour and I would definitely enjoy my Monte Cristo sandwich at Cafe Orleans with picturesque views of the Rivers of America. And then I’d continue on with the beloved 1955 Original Rides to await Disneyland Forever fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Over at Disney California Adventure Park, I’d head over for a tour of the replica of the famous Boudin Bakery, I would catch the parades and live entertainment at the Paradise Garden Bandstand, and I’d swing my feet Soarin' over California to catch breath-taking vistas. Near the end of my day, I’d enjoy a ride on the Red Car Trolley to enjoy the nostalgic Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land with a stop at the Carthay Circle Restaurant for a lovely dinner and then end off with a magnificent viewing of the World of Color – that would make my day perfect.

Angel, your unlimited digital downloads of Disney’s PhotoPass® Service attraction photos, including Magic Shots are included from your day with the purchase of Disney Genie+ service and you are most welcome to be photographed just like all Guests, so smile away!

    Best Disney Wishes ~ Jacqueline
