Going to Disneyland for the 1st time booking California Grand through DVC 7 months to the day check daily for availability with no luck was told by friends who go often that this hotel is never available. Why is that?Any suggestions?

    Hi there, Joanne!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm so glad that you stopped by with a question for us. I know you must be so excited to be planning your first trip to Disneyland Resort. I'm sure it will be absolutely amazing!

If there wasn't any availability at The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa 7 months in advance of your check-in date, then it must mean that all of the rooms were reserved by Members with Home Resort priority. I do know that it is a very popular resort since it is the only Disney Vacation Club Resort at Disneyland. So for those of us who aren't able to make reservations 11 months in advance, it can be quite difficult to secure a reservation. I would definitely suggest that you put in a Waitlist Request for your dates, and hopefully you'll get lucky (although there is no guarantee). There are some other great resort options though so maybe you could bank your points and use them for another Disney Vacation Club getaway down the road.

I feel sure that you'll find the perfect place to stay for your upcoming California Adventure. I hope you enjoy every minute of it and make lots of magical memories. If we can help with anything else, just let us know!
