The good news is that upgrading your ticket is absolutely an option worth exploring here. Disneyland Resort tickets are sold in different tiers, with Tier 1 being the most limited in terms of which dates are eligible for use. If your
Tier 1 ticket doesn't cover the specific dates you're planning to visit in December, you can upgrade to a higher tier ticket that does. You would just need to pay the difference in price between your current ticket and the upgraded one.
The best way to make this happen is by
calling a Cast Member at the Tickets line. They can look at your specific ticket, confirm which dates are eligible, and walk you through the upgrade process.
Once your ticket covers the dates of your visit, you'll then be able to make your theme park reservation through the
My Plans hub on the Disneyland Resort website. Just keep in mind that December is an incredibly popular time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, and between the holiday décor, Haunted Mansion Holiday, and "it's a small world" Holiday, it's easy to see why it's so popular! Therefore, I'd recommend getting your reservation locked in as soon as your ticket upgrade is complete.
