Is Disneyland throwing a Merriest Nights Christmas event for 2022 and will tickets go on sale?

Season’s greetings, Crystal, and thanks for dropping by planDisney!

This is a great question, and one my family has been wondering, too! We attended Disney Merriest Nites at the Disneyland Resort last year, and we had a blast, so we’re crossing our fingers that this magical event returns this year. So far, we haven’t heard any confirmation about the future of this event, so I recommend keeping your eyes on the Disney Parks Blog, since this is the best spot for breaking Disneyland Resort news. You can also keep checking under Special Event Tickets on Disneyland.com, since this is where any upcoming events will be listed.

In the meantime, here’s some information about last year’s event announcement and sales dates, in case it helps. In 2021, Disney Merriest Nites tickets went on sale starting September 14 on Disneyland.com and on the Disneyland app. The event nights were November 11, November 16, November 30, December 7, and December 9. If Disney Merriest Nites does return to Disneyland Park this year, I’d guess that we’ll hear about it by early September, since that’s when it was announced in 2021.

Now, for what we do know – the Disneyland Resort will transform into The Merriest Place on Earth from November 11, 2022, through January 8, 2023, and I couldn’t be more excited! From the festive holiday décor, to the magical “it’s a small world” Holiday, to the joyous Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, there’s something for everyone!

Sending pixie dust your way that we hEAR something soon, Crystal!

    Wishing you merry magic,
    Kristin

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Greetings from sunny California! I live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder (and now a Magic Key Passholder) for more than 20 years! As a mom of three kids ages 5-10, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! Learn More About Kristin
