We got our Disneyland theme park tickets through a credit card rewards program. How do we redeem for ticket ID before arrival? If we can't do that, how do we make park reservation without a ticket ID? Thank you.

    Hiya, Kylie!

Woohoo! Your efforts are paying off. You’ve saved up long enough to enjoy some benefits. I can think of no better reward than a visit to The Happiest Place on Earth!

It is necessary to have your theme park tickets linked to your Disneyland Resort account before you can book your theme park reservations. Redeeming your reward may depend on the specific card you have. For example, if you are a Disney Rewards Visa Card holder, rewards dollars are transferred to a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. A Redemption Card can be used just like a Disney Gift Card to purchase theme park tickets directly from the Disneyland Resort website.

For rewards from other companies, I would anticipate that Disney eTickets might be delivered electronically. I recommend checking your email inbox for a ticket confirmation number and possibly a link to access your eTickets. If you are expecting such an email but don’t see it in your inbox, I suggest checking your email spam or junk mail folder. If checking these possibilities doesn’t work out, I recommend contacting a representative of the credit card reward program for more information.

I hope that helps give a few ideas of how to progress with setting up your theme park tickets and theme park reservations. Another step I recommend is to download the latest version of the Disneyland mobile app. Once your tickets are linked to your account, you can find them in the Tickets and Passes screen of the app. You can access it from the app’s ☰ feature menu. Your park reservations can be found in the Future Plans screen, also accessed from the feature menu.

Tony’s Tip: Once your park reservations are booked, you can start to interact with the Disney Genie service. As a complimentary component of the Genie service, you can make your Disneyland Resort wishes known (i.e. favorite attractions, entertainment, and other experiences) and Genie will automatically create a suggested itinerary for your day. Genie combines your requests and preferences with real-time information about nearby attraction wait times to help optimize the magic of your day.

Thanks for your question here at planDisney, Kylie. As fellow Disney Parks Guests, it’s a pleasure to share our experience and recommendations with you. If you have any more questions as you plan your visit to the Disneyland Resort, please don’t hesitate to stop by again.
