Oh boy, Rhalph! Sounds like you have a very special visit coming up soon to the Happiest Place on Earth! I'm thrilled you're bringing your little sweetheart to experience the magic of Disneyland Resort. Thanks for strolling by planDisney with your question. Let's zip to it!
As a mom, I understand how important it is to have a stroller to navigate around the parks. A stroller provides a comfortable, safe space for little ones to rest in between all their adventures. I also loved not having to think too much about what we needed or not needed for the park day - we just took it all! Tip: Use packing cubes or bags to organize belongings in your stroller. Not only will this help you find items easier, going through security will be much smoother, as you’ll have to take everything out.
While convertible bike trailers aren't used often as strollers at the Disneyland Resort, I've spotted them plenty of times, so it should be fine. However, Cast Members always have final say! But I'm so glad you're thinking about measuring your stroller before your visit though, Rhalph, because Disneyland Resort does have
specific guidelines for stroller dimensions, which is no larger than 31" x 52". I recommend measuring your stroller from the widest and longest points. One simple way to do this (
an idea from one of my fellow planDisney pals!) is to take chalk or tape and make a 31” by 52” rectangle on the ground. Steer your stroller into this rectangle – if it fits, you should be good to go! If it’s too large, then you can plan to bring a different stroller that fits within these guidelines, or rent a stroller from Disneyland Resort, from the Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug, or from another third-party company.
If you end up choosing to rent a stroller at Disneyland, I recommend arriving early at the
Stroller Shop just outside the theme parks, east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance, as a limited number of strollers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. I confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that the Stroller Shop opens one hour prior to park opening. (Hours are subject to change without notice.)
Tip: Make sure to pick up a very cute Family Adventure Map at the front of the park (or at the Stroller Shop!) - a really helpful tool to navigate the parks for Mouseketeers of all ages. You can easily see what attractions might be a good fit for your little one, where to find those kid favorite foods, and even tips to maximize the magic. The kid friendly map will also allow them to take the lead - which my son loves!
Well, Rhalph, I have no doubt you'll be off and rolling along in no time! As you continue to prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, don't hesitate to come back and
ask me another question! I'd love to share more recommendations for a truly magical time with little ones. But, most of all, I sincerely hope you and your sweet one have so much fun immersed in the Disneyland magic. Say "hi" to Mickey for me!
Warmest wishes,
McCayla
