What Disneyland rides are not advised for people with heart conditions.

Hi there, Pam! Welcome to planDisney. I’d be happy to help you navigate which Disneyland attractions may not be recommended for Guests with heart conditions. Let’s take a look at the attractions you’ll want to keep in mind as you plan your magical day ahead!

The neat part about utilizing the Disneyland site or app is the ability to filter attractions based on your needs for your visit. In the app, you’ll want to tap on the pinpoint button to the right of the (+) button. From there, you’ll be brought to a map of the Disneyland Resort. Tap “Attractions,” then select the filter button on the far left. This will bring up a variety of filters for you to choose from. For heart conditions, I would scroll toward the bottom and select “Health Advisory” under the Physical Considerations category. Once applied, this will produce a list of attractions with health advisories, such as Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Goofy’s Sky School.

Alternatively, you can also check out the attraction information on the Disneyland website under “Attractions & Entertainment.” When entering an attraction, you’ll also typically find signage with health and safety advisories. These may include warnings for Guests with conditions such as high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by the experience. This was extremely helpful for me when I would double check which attractions were safe to ride when I was pregnant with my son!

If you’re looking for some slower-paced attractions to enjoy, there are plenty of options to add to your day! “it’s a small world,” Storybook Land Canal Boats, the Disneyland Railroad, and the Mark Twain Riverboat are a few attractions that offer a more leisurely experience. I’d still recommend reviewing the posted advisories for each attraction.

Pam, thank you so much for visiting planDisney. I hope this information is helpful as you navigate your park day ahead! Taking it slow and enjoying some of Disneyland’s easygoing attractions can still make for a wonderful day full of magical memories. If you have any more questions or need more recommendations, planDisney is here for you!
