Hiya Joe! Welcome back to planDisney.
Your visit to the Disneyland Resort is coming up so soon, and I love all the care you have been putting in to make sure you have all your Disney details in place. You will be enjoying The Happiest Place on Earth in just a few short weeks - and I know just how excited you're getting.
Let's chat about
Disneyland Resort Shopping Reservations. These are pop-up events for special merchandise releases, and it doesn't look like there are any available at this time. During the closure of Disneyland Resort, these shopping reservations allowed Guests to experience a little of the magic and collect special merchandise when they didn't have access to gift shops or other merchandise locations. They may also pop up when limited-edition merchandise becomes available; this is usually announced on the
Disney Parks Blog, so be sure you're following them on our favorite social media channel.
The good news is, you don't need a reservation to shop at Disneyland Resort. Merchandise locations are open in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District is welcoming Guests for shopping and dining. Check out
Downtown Disney District's webpage for the latest operational information and a list of dining, shopping, and entertainment experiences available. If shops are busy, they may use a virtual waitlist to limit the number of Guests in a shop, but this will be handled at the time of your visit by a Cast Member at the store's entrance - nothing you need to plan for in advance.
Happy shopping, Joe! I always bring home a mug from my Disney trips (okay, fine, I bring home several mugs) because I love to sip my coffee and daydream about all the magic I experienced during my vacation. I hope you find the perfect treasure to bring home from Disneyland! Thanks for stopping by with another great question, and please come back and see us if you think of any more while you count down the days.
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
