Hello, When does the Disneyland resort and the parks decorate for Halloween?

    Welcome to planDisney, Ted!

I'm so glad that you decided to stop by with your question! One of my favorite times of year to visit is during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! This year, Halloween Time kicks off at Disneyland on August 23, 2024 and continues through October 31, 2024, which means Halloween decorations should be aplenty when you arrive for your visit.

Fortunately, there a plethora of Halloween spirit to be found in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park! In Disneyland Park, our family enjoys the sights and sounds of the Main Street Pumpkin Festival on Main Street, U.S.A. before grabbing a seasonal treat from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. Last year, they had a shortbread Mickey Bat Cookie that was delicious! We then head over to Haunted Mansion Holiday, where Jack Skellington has decorated the halls in his own nightmarish style.

Over in Disney California Adventure Park, experience the thrilling Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark and take a spin on Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree. Also, stop by the Cozy Cone Motel for the seasonal churros. They are usually a hit for our family!

If you are interested in dressing up in a Halloween costume, then I suggest checking out the Oogie Boogie Bash - A Halloween Party! It's a fun, separately ticketed event on select nights that usually includes immersive treat trails, the Frightfully Fun Parade, and my favorite, Villains Grove. This popular event sells out quickly, so just make sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog to find out when tickets go on sale.

Feel free to visit us again if you have more questions! Have a spooktacular time!
