Hi, Jan! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question.
Disney Dollars were a fun way to give a loved one some currency to spend in the parks. While those still in possession of Disney Dollars are able to spend them, they are no longer being sold. If you are looking for a way to give your children or other family members a set amount of money to spend while on vacation at the Disneyland Resort, I suggest purchasing a Disney Gift Card. You can buy Disney Gift Cards at local retailers like Target, Wal-Mart, and grocery stores as well as online. They can then be used nearly everywhere inside both parks and the
Disneyland Resort Hotels to purchase food, drinks, and merchandise. In the
Downtown Disney District, Disney Gift Cards can only be used at Disney-owned stores like World of Disney, Marceline’s Confectionary, Disney Dress Shop, Disney Home, and WonderGround Gallery.
If you do purchase Disney Gift Cards, I highly recommend that you register them online at
www.DisneyGiftCard.com. You can easily transfer balances among cards online if a gift card gets lost or stolen, or if you have multiple gift cards, you can consolidate the balances onto one card. It’s also a quick way to check the current balance of any gift card you register.
I hope this helps. Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
