Hi Annette! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
I'm sorry things didn't turn out for your visit last year. That is always very disappointing! We've had similar things happen in the past. The good news, however, is that even if your Disneyland Resort
admission tickets expire, they still retain their value. The value of your current wholly unused tickets can be applied to the purchase of new tickets, including an upgrade for your child if they've aged out of the kid's ticket in the meantime. You'll simply need to pay the difference since prices are subject to change. For entrance to the parks, you'll also need new
Theme Park Reservations, which are subject to availability. As your dates approach, check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar.
You should be able to find the expiration date in the terms of the confirmation e-mail you received when you purchased your tickets. You can also call the
Tickets phone line. A helpful Cast Member will be happy to help you find the expiration date if you can't locate your e-mail. I had some missing tickets and a quick call sorted it all out! They can also assist with purchasing new tickets, including upgrading a child's ticket to an adult ticket. Have your method of payment ready, since you'll need to pay the difference.
I'm glad you're looking forward to an upcoming visit after the disappointment of canceling. Planning can be part of the fun. Follow the
Disney Parks Blog as your vacation approaches to discover all that's new coming to the parks in time for your visit. There's bound to be a lot with the
Disney100 Celebration underway.
Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
