I have a disneyland reservation for a party of 7 but we are showing up at different times (3 of the members of our party are driving in from out of town for the day), are we able to show up separately or do we need to arrive together?

    Greetings, Fabiola!

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for stopping by with your question! How cool is it to be able to visit the Disneyland Resort with a large group of family and friends? I have the most fun on visits where I can meet a large number of friends at the Parks, and I'll always look back fondly on our planDisney training trip which took place at the Disneyland Resort. Talk about some core memories!

It's great that you've all secured park reservations for the day of your visit. I'm happy to inform you that you don't all have to be together in order to enter the Parks and redeem your tickets. You're more than welcome to arrive separately. Just make sure that everyone has downloaded the Disneyland Mobile App and has access to their tickets (this is only an issue if one person bought the tickets on behalf of everyone else so the tickets are only linked to their account).

One thing to note: if you did not purchase Genie+ at the time of ticket purchase and are interested in purchasing it on the day of your visit, you must already be checked into the Parks to be able to do so. You'll be able to individually purchase it once you activate your ticket, but if you attempt to purchase Genie+ as a group and not everyone is present in the Parks, the system will not allow that.

When I've traveled with a large group that does not stay together all day, we will usually gather for a meal in the evening. One of my favorite places for a great meal is the Lamplight Lounge in Disney California Adventure. You get to dine by the water's edge and, if you time it right, have a wonderful seat for a World of Color viewing!

Fabiola, I hope that this was helpful for you. Please feel free to return anytime if you need anything else. You're always welcome at planDisney and we hope to see you again!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
