Hi Blaine! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
When you purchase your
admission ticket for Disneyland Resort, you'll be asked to select your preferred date and park. This will become your
theme park reservation, which currently is required for entry to the parks along with a valid admission ticket. If there is no availability for that day or your preferred park, you won't be able to select it. Therefore, you don't need to be concerned about purchasing a day or park that's full. The purchasing system won't allow it.
You can also always take a look at the
availability calendar before you begin your admission ticket transaction. It's a quick glance at theme park reservation availability. But be aware availability can change quickly, and popular days or parks can fill up. Availability is not guaranteed. However, if your preferred day or park is full, I recommend you keep checking. People's plans change, and availability changes to reflect cancelations and modified plans, meaning you could snap up those reservations when they do! Persistence and a pinch of magic can pay off.
Before you arrive, take a look at the
Entertainment Schedule to help plan your visit. There's so much to explore in the parks right now, including the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. We tried several food and beverages at the festival and enjoyed all of it! Consider the Sip and Savor Pass if you're interested in trying several menu items. It makes purchasing a breeze at festival booths.
I hope this helps!
