When Disneyland reopens, they state that it will only be for California residents. What type of proof of residence will be required? Will an address or student ID from a California university work?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Jack!

Welcome to planDisney! We are THRILLED you stopped by, and we are so excited to help you plan your next MAGICAL vacation to the Disneyland Resort!

Mickey Mouse and his pals are working really hard on the phased reopening of the Disneyland Resort! AND…I am very happy to inform you that Disneyland Resort Theme Park Tickets and Disneyland Theme Park Reservations will be available on April 15, 2021! WOO HOO! As you know, only California residents will be allowed to visit the Disneyland Resort at this time to follow COVID-19 safety measures and keep guests safe during their TIGGER-ific visit.

Now, this is where your great question comes into play. All guests making a Disneyland Theme Park reservation will be required to make it through their My Disneyland Account, which is tied to their address. Also, when a guest makes a Disneyland Theme Park reservation, they will be required to certify that they are a California resident. These will be the two main ways to prove if a guest is a California resident. For college students going to a California university, I would make sure the address on their My Disneyland account reflects where they are currently living. I also talked to a very helpful Cast Member, and she told me that a form of identification MAY be checked at the gate. My recommendation would be to bring a college student ID and have ready to prove their current California residence.

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask! We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
