We were at Disneyland recently and noticed there were areas “reserved” roped off for areas for the parade and maybe the fireworks? I’m not so sure about the fireworks show? How do you get a reserved seat for these events?

Hi Mike! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

I hope you had a magical visit and are dreaming of your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I'm always ready to turn right back around and make more happy memories with my family.

You might have seen the viewing area associated with the Plaza Inn Dining Package, currently featuring reserved viewing for the "Magic Happens" Parade. This package is a great option for Guests interested in securing a spot for viewing the parade. It includes a yummy lunch at the iconic Plaza Inn on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and a voucher for access to a special viewing area with standing room or ground seating. Reservations for this dining package typically can be made 60 days before your visit and are subject to availability as this can be a popular option.

At the moment, there aren't any dining packages in Disneyland Park strictly associated with reserved viewing for nighttime entertainment. However, Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace is a dining package that features fantastic nighttime views of the park and can become a fireworks-watching location for those who have booked their dinner there. With a reservation, you not only receive a meal and fun extras but also have access to the elevated dining area until 10 PM. As long as fireworks aren't canceled due to weather, you should be treated to a great view!

Maybe you'll want to give one of these a try the next time you visit Disneyland Resort or maybe Fantasmic! will have returned to Frontierland in Disneyland Park with its yummy Dining Package options that come with reserved viewing. Disney California Adventure Park also has reserved viewing associated with a dining package or dessert party, which make World of Color - ONE an extra special experience. We're looking into doing the World of Color - ONE Dessert Party for our upcoming trip in March.

    Have a magical day.
