If Disneyland Park opens at 9am, can I make dining reservations for Carnation Cafe at 8 am before the park opens if I'm not staying on property?

    Hi there, Lisa!

Welcome back to planDisney! It is always nice to hear from Guests who have contacted us in the past!

I have good news! Guests who have dining reservations before the parks open do not have to stay on Disneyland Resort property at this time. In fact, I often recommend eating breakfast at Carnation Cafe or Plaza Inn before Disneyland Park opens. It allows you to enjoy Main Street, U.S.A. in those early morning hours, and once breakfast is done, you might be one of the first Guests to enter the parks. It is a great way to maximize your vacation time!

Many Guests line up early at the park entrances. Give yourself plenty of time to get through the Security Checkpoints and enter Disneyland Park before your dining reservation. There is often a turnstile at the entrance reserved just for early dining reservations. Check the signs above the turnstiles before you join a line, and have your dining confirmation number ready to show the Cast Member. Confirmation numbers can be found in your email inbox or in the Disneyland mobile app. I recommend using the mobile app because I use it constantly in the parks to make Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations, view wait times, and mobile order food

Lisa, enjoy your breakfast at Carnation Cafe! When my family last ate there, our favorite dishes were Walt's Chili Cheese Omelet, which was topped with chili and cheese, and the Breakfast Sandwich, made with eggs, Applewood-smoked bacon, and cheddar cheese on a brioche bun. My kids always order Mickey-shaped Waffles (and I usually steal a couple of bites!). Everything at Carnation Cafe is delicious!

    Wishing you a Wonderous Journey!
