Where in the Disneyland Park would be a good place for a proposal???

Hello Brian, and welcome to planDisney! Golly, the Disneyland Resort is the perfect setting for a fairytale moment that is as important as proposing. I gathered some additional information from your other question – your daughter is lucky to have such a thoughtful father who wants to make the occasion extra special. And I'm happy to add a few sprinkles of pixie dust for inspiration!

While there is no option to book a professional photo session at Disneyland, you can use the Disney PhotoPass service to capture the moment on camera. One option is to wait in line at a PhotoPass location with a beautiful background, like Sleeping Beauty Castle. Once the photographer is positioned and ready, it would be time to pop the question. Just know this is a high-traffic area, so other Guests will likely be watching and cheering on the happy couple. That could work to your benefit, as you could blend in with the crowd until you're ready to reveal yourself!

I can't say with certainty that it will still be available on June 24, 2025, but Photo Excursions recently returned to the Disneyland Resort. The Disneyland app currently shows this as being offered from noon to 7 p.m. Essentially, this is a free service where a PhotoPass photographer spends around 15 minutes with a party taking photos in one area of the park. You'd just need to have the Lightning Lane Multi Pass or a Magic Key pass that includes PhotoPass digital downloads to get the photos. But this could be an excellent way to get special photos of the proposal itself and just after. The spot to line up is at the bridge between Frontierland and Main Street, U.S.A., and people typically start lining up 30 minutes early. I would check with a Cast Member at a Guest Relations kiosk in the park once you arrive to see if they have more information, and have a backup in case this is no longer available.

Here are a couple more ideas, too, Brian:

    • Snow White’s Grotto is to the side of the castle and is typically a little quieter, although it's not a PhotoPass location. There is a tranquil waterfall with sculptures and a wishing well.
    • I saw a proposal a few weeks ago, just as the Wondrous Journeys fireworks show was ending. It was really sweet because the last line of the show is, "I, for one, think what comes next will be wondrous," which is such a perfect setup for a proposal. It could be special to book a dining package at Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace, which includes food and an elevated view of the fireworks. I checked the calendar and fireworks are scheduled for June 24, 2025, but I want to mention that they may get cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
Brian, before the proposal happens, pick up a few complimentary “Happily Ever After” buttons. These are usually found at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A., and retail shops may also have them. You can get an "I'm Celebrating" button for yourself, too! There are also bride and groom Disney ears that you can purchase in the park – that could be really cute for them to wear in photos.

Pixie dust is in the air! I hope everything comes together as perfectly as a fairytale ending. Please reach out if you have any other questions, Brian. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.

Wishing you and your family happiness,
    Kriss
