Greetings, Sarah! Welcome to planDisney. Your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is quickly approaching!
I checked the
Entertainment Schedule, and it doesn't look like any parades will make their way through Disneyland during regular park hours in early February. If you happen to have a ticket for
Sweethearts' Nite on February 4, however, you will be delighted by a Royal Cavalcade. Disney couples will appear on a themed float surrounded by dancers! A friend of mine went to this event last year and told me the cavalcade was one of her favorite parts of the night. Sarah, please keep in mind that Disneyland will close early on February 4 for this sold-out event, so if you don't have a ticket for Sweethearts' Nite, you may want to make plans to visit California Adventure or explore Downtown Disney after 8 p.m.
Also, I have great news. The
Lunar New Year Celebration will be in full swing when you visit! On select dates from January 17 through February 16, California Adventure will ring in the Year of the Snake with special offerings, including
Mulan's Lunar New Year Procession. Mulan, Disney Pals, and costumed performers will march and dance to triumphant music throughout the day. I recommend watching it at night when everything seems to shine just a little bit more.
Have you heard that the
Paint the Night Parade is returning this year? It's one of my favorite parades, literally painting the streets of Disneyland with the glow of more than a million colorful LED lights. Music fills the air as dazzling floats and Disney friends make their way along the parade route. For the rest of the night, you'll be singing, "When can we do this again?" I haven't seen it since 2015, so I'll definitely be there to watch as the
70th Anniversary Celebration kicks off.
Sarah, I hope you make lots of joyful memories during your visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have any other questions before your trip, please reach out. We're happy to help!
