When Disneyland opens will they still be using boarding passes for Star Wars?

    Bright suns, Stephen!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thank you for the opportunity to help you get #ResistanceReady and plan your journey to a galaxy far, far away

While we don’t yet know the final details for how guests will live their own Star Wars adventure at the Disneyland Resort when it reopens, we do know some information about the initial opening period of the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. During the initial opening phase, virtual queues will not be available for attractions at the Florida Disney Parks, including for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. While operations may differ at the Disneyland Resort, that may at least give you an idea of what you might expect when The Happiest Place on Earth opens for Guests again.

When you land on the planet of Batuu, you are in for the adventure of your life. One of the most amazing experiences available in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Whether or not joining a “Boarding Group” virtual queue will be required to experience this attraction remains to be seen. Though I still recommend that you prepare as much as possible to enhance your digital experience.

Tony’s Tip: If you or someone in your party has a mobile device with them, I recommend installing the Disneyland app and the Play Disney Parks app. Both apps are free to download from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. When you are in the Black Spire Outpost, the Star Wars: Datapad, included in the Play Disney Parks app, can help you hack, scan, and translate your way through the mysteries of the land.

As the temporary shutdown at the Disneyland Resort ends and final plans for a safe and Incredible opening of the theme parks are finalized, more details will be released. The best places to look for the latest news and information will be the Disney Parks Blog and the information page on the Disneyland Resort website. And, of course, we are always happy to provide up-to-date answers to your questions here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    ‘Til the spire, Stephen!
