when will DisneyLand be open to non California residents again so we know when to book?

Greetings Ismael, and welcome to planDisney!

As someone who had trips to both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World postponed due to the past year's public health situation, it sure feels like 2020 was conjured by the Disney Villains! Fortunately, our heroes are helping to bring some normalcy back to our lives, and there's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow out there waiting for us.

Like you, I reside outside of the Golden State, so I'll be waiting and watching for theme park reservations to be extended to Guests like us. We don't know a date for when this will happen, but in the meantime, I hope Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors enjoy returning to a land of magic! You are welcome to purchase tickets now, so you have all the mouseketools you need when theme park reservations are available to you. Multi-day tickets purchased today do not expire until January 2023, or 13 days after their first use, whichever comes first.

The best sources for new information and announcements are the Disney Parks Blog and the Experience Updates page. When the time comes for us to plan our next visit to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, they'll be the first to break the good news, so stay tuned!

Ismael, I wish I could offer a more exact timeframe, but I will wish upon a star that we have the opportunity to return to the Happiest Place on Earth soon. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, and when you're ready to start planning your magical vacation, come see us again. We're all ears!

Meet the Panelist: Betsy, Maryland

Greetings! I'm Betsy, a middle school teacher, wife, and mom of two. My family and I love to travel the world, but our best memories are those made when we're visiting Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. No matter how many times we visit, there is always something new to see, ride, or eat at the Disney Parks. Learn More About Betsy
