Is Disneyland open during christmas this year of 2024?

A warm welcome from all of us at planDisney to you, Jennifer. We're so glad you stopped by to share this question with us.

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort is the most wonderful time of the year to visit. It's never too early to start planning ahead. In fact, I'm already thinking about Christmas in July. The holidays will officially arrive at the resort on November 15th. Historically, the Disneyland Resort has been open and welcoming Guests on Christmas day and that should be the same for this year as well. You can already book your hotel-only stay or Disneyland Vacation Package for these dates. Theme park tickets can be purchased up to 180 days in advance so if you're only looking to purchase theme park tickets, we have just about a few more weeks to go.

The resort is extra magical during this enchanting time of year and I always look forward to visiting to take in all of the holiday décor to get into the spirit of things. A picture in front of the holiday tree in both parks is always a must and my favorite snack of all time is the Mickey gingerbread. Let's hope this adorable treat returns for the festivities this year. Keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog to stay updated as details are shared as we get closer to holiday time.

Jennifer, I hope this is helpful as you are planning your magical holiday visit. Let us know if there's anything else that we can help with as you continue to plan. Here's wishing you a wonderful time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
